The divisions of Warren Paving include
marine/specialty construction division, operations of the Vulcan Materials
Company Gulfport aggregate sales yard and operation of a portable aggregate
crusher capable of recycling waste concrete and asphalt.
The
marine/specialty construction division of Warren Paving has performed
work on a variety of projects such as building docks, bulkheads, drilled
shaft construction, hurricane moorings, and general bridgework. They
offer consulting services and provide marine related testing services.
The marine/specialty division has performed work for several of the
gulf coast casinos including Casino Magic and Isle of Capri. One example
of specialty construction was the construction of the BAK systems at
the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport. The BAK systems act as an
arresting system for military aircraft similar to those on aircraft
carriers.
Warren Paving operates the Gulfport sales yard for Vulcan Materials
Company, which is the largest aggregate producer in the country. The
operation includes unloading barges, stockpiling of materials, and loading
and weighing of trucks. The Gulfport sales yard currently handles approximately
120,000 tons of material per year which includes rip rap stone, base
stone and graded stone for asphalt and concrete production.

Another division of Warren Paving is mobile concrete
crushing operation. The unit consists of a jaw crusher and horizontal
impact crusher working in tandem to crush large pieces of waste asphalt
or concrete down to usable recycled product. The recycled crushed concrete
base material, which is produced from the crusher, has been approved
for use as a base material on Mississippi Department of Transportation
projects. The waste asphalt, which is crushed, is recycled as a raw
material in the production of new hot mix asphalt.
