Lawrence Warren, President
and CEO of Warren Paving, Inc. was inducted into the Roland Weeks Leadership
Hall of Fame during a special ceremony at the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Coliseum in Biloxi last month. Weeks, who served as publisher of The
Sun Herald for 35 years, constantly searched for leaders who could
make South Mississippi an even better place. This award, named in his
honor, now recognizes outstanding business and community leadership.
Warren is one of ten individuals selected to receive this honor. Ricky
Mathews, current publisher of The Sun Herald, which created the
hall of fame, said the award has been established to honor the people
who make South Mississippi the state's economic engine. "We're
holding up these leaders as an example of people who have the energy
and vision to put their money where their mouth is,"Mathews said.
