Executive of the Year

Lawrence W. Warren, President and CEO of Warren Paving, Inc. of Hattiesburg and Gulfport, was selected as the 2000 Executive of the Year. This honor is bestowed on an exceptional individual who displays outstanding sales and marketing achievements and leadership skills in professional associations and throughout the community.

Lawrence is currently serving his second year as Chairman of the Area Development Partnership. During his tenure, he has participated in the ADP's successful effort in attracting several major industries to the greater Hattiesburg area. He recently served as co-chairman for the ADP's "Partnerships for Tomorrow Capital Campaign."

Lawrence serves on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, the Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association and on the Advisory Board for Trustmark National Bank. Lawrence was appointed by Governor Ronnie Musgrove in 1999 to serve on the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges.

Lawrence served as chairman of the National Asphalt Pavement Association in 1998. He is a member and past-president of the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association. He holds membership in the Associated General Contractors and the Mississippi Roadbuilders Association. He is a former member of the Forrest County Industrial Park Commission.
